I'm Back Home!!

Hello to all my bloggy friends!!

It's soooo good to be back home! Thank you for all your sweet cards, e-mails, comments and prayers. God continues to be ever so faithful. I have so many wonderful testimonies of His goodness and grace to share with you! I'll try to keep them short and sweet.

First, I must say that the doctor who did the throat surgery stated, "The surgery could not have gone more perfect." Those were his words, not mine. He realized that there was something different, notable about it. Thank you Lord for your presence!

I was only on the ventilator 4 days, not a full week as previously anticipated. I have had no aspiration issues to date. No choking on fluids at all! Yeah God!!

I passed the 'breathing test' with flying colors, making the floater go all the way to the top the first time! Even with all the swelling, soreness and post surgery healing happening.....I can still breath wonderfully!!

My voice is growing stronger every day.

10 days after my first surgery I have had a second laser surgery and I am pleased to report that the scope/laser surgery was remarkable. There was no need to laser anything, nor was there any need to stretch anything! Nothing is happening inside my throat that is not supposed to be happening. PTL! That really is miraculous!!!

I have an 'in office' appointment to make sure things keep progressing in two weeks and then another scope/laser surgery scheduled in four weeks (April 16th) with the anticipation that they may have to laser or stretch something as my healing completes. I will give you updates on those as they happen.

Pain management continues to be an area where prayer is needed and much appreciated. More for the rib injury than the throat, although both hurt.

Thank you again for all your love and support. Just today we had more groceries and meals delivered to us. I look forward to giving you many more good reports in the days to come. God Bless You!!

Can't imagine the soreness [pain] especially from the rib areas. But nothing is impossible with the mighty God we serve. As evidenced by your awesome recovery and a successful procedure. Yes, glory be to God! Great to hear from you and will keep you in prayers. May the Lord bless you and your girls and protect you all. Take care.

Praying for you that you pain continues to subside each and every day and that you will be pain free in no time. I am praising God with you that everything went smoothly. I was reading somewhere this week, that those that have prayer do better in surgery than those who don't. Let's keep it going for you!
