Rosebuds Special Time

Today Rosebud and I had some very special time together. Her older sisters were both invited to a Christmas Tea Party so we had a couple hours to spend just the two of us. A very RARE occasion. She was so cute. She actually counted down the days on her calendar until we had our "special" time together!I let her choose the agenda. And the first thing on her list was a Frapachino (spelling?). I think she just likes saying the name. lol But ever since she learned of them from my brothers family....she's wanted to try one! Now me being a non coffee drinking mom.....needed a bit of help. The man behind the counter at Caribou was very nice and explained to me that that was actually a Starbucks drink. Great....embarrassing to say the least! LOL
After discovering that there was in fact "coffee" in Caribou's comparable drink, we opted for something called a Snowdrift. It had milk, ice, white chocolate, Oreos and whipped cream. YUM!!! She was thrilled!!
We sat at the big high chairs and she waved at all the drive through customers that came through. She was so excited!! She took this picture of me herself and made me promise to put in on my blog!
Next on the agenda was window shopping at Claire's. She was so happy today, people asked me if it was her birthday. Her smile lit up her whole face!
Ever since she was a baby she's liked accessories. Grandma would take her to the store to try on hats and she'd never get bored. Or I could set her in a pile of my shoes and she was quite content to try them all on!
Obviously, this has NOT changed! LOL
The Three P's.
Purple.....Princess.....Purse. Oh my!! What's a girl to do ???
"I look like a real princess, don't I mom?"
Our final stop was right next door at the Yankee Candle store. I think we smelled just about every candle in there! She made the funniest comments about the candles though. She thought one of the peppermint ones smelled like the stuff they give you at the dentist, the snow smelled like soap, and the floral ones made her eyes cry. She didn't think the floral ones smelled like the real flowers at all and she really didn't like the "tree" ones. Thought they were awful in fact! Not something she wanted to ever smell again. lol But, she loved the Christmas Cookies, Strawberry, and Pumpkin Spice ones.
We had a great time laughing and making memories. I'm so glad God gave us this time together!

I'm glad too! Glad I didn't create an awkward situation! You made the best of it and your Rosebud got her "tank" filled up! Wonderful! The girls were a delight to have over! I hope they had a great time! See you soon!

Sister, your daughter and your happiness [I must say "joy" instead] shows. Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time together. I love Frappuccino's too but too sweet so I laid low and just stick with brewed coffee.
I love kids' honesty when they want to say what they feel about things. No wonder, Jesus loves us to have that child-like faith in Him. You go Rosebud and keep smiling. You have a beautiful spirit and smiles! That will make people wonder what you are up to :)
God bless you all and have a blessed Christmas. I might not know you personally but know that you are in my prayers.

Ummm... Did Rosebud seriously think those glasses were cute? She's the cutest part about them!
Looks like fun!
